Wee Wild Ones

Explore animal movements with your little one, while learning new songs and activities to try at home. Bring your strollers, wraps and carriers for a walk around the Zoo to look for animals.

Join us as we play in the mud, build with sticks and stumps, and learn other fun ways to explore nature at home!

Come learn about the animals that call water their home. We’ll have a splash as we sing songs and dive into exploring awesome aquatic animals!

Herp, Herp Hooray: Who lives at the Herpetarium?

Reptiles and amphibians galore! Come explore lizards, snakes, frogs and more! In this class, we will learn all about our scaly and slimy friends through sensory exploration and imaginative play.

Tale of a Tail

Long and short, wide and thin, stripy too – tails come in all different shapes and sizes. We’ll try out different tails to discover which animals have tails and how they use them.

Spring Fling

Kick off the first day of spring discovering how animals celebrate the season through songs, stories and animal actions!

Trucks, Trains and Airplanes

Ants march like trains and eagles soar like rockets. Join us as we learn how animals and our trains get around.

Cool Canids

Calling all cubs, pups and kits! Dig into the dens of canids at the Zoo and in the wild. We will explore foxes, endangered red wolves and painted dogs, as we discover how they are similar to and different from our own pet dogs.

Slither with us into the wonderfully weird world of snakes.

Wild Valentines

Do you LOVE animals? We do, too! Come create special heartfelt greetings for keepers and treats for native animals, as well as some valentine-themed animal art to take home for friends and family.

Whiskers, Claws and Paws

Creep into the world of wild cats, as we explore where they live, how they communicate, and much more. We will end with a visit to learn all about our Zoo’s big cats! Participants meet at the Bayer Education Gallery.

Eggcellent Adventures

See who’s hatching and how in the animal world. We’ll explore amazing eggs, from slimy salamanders to marvelous monotremes, like the platypus. We’ll even make a few egg creations of our own to take home.

Bear Necessities

Join us at the Zoo for a “bear-y” fun adventure! We’ll learn about the bears that call the Saint Louis Zoo home by visiting each of their unique habitats.
