Camp Scholarship Program

Closed for 2024

Since the inaugural year of Camp KangaZoo in 1991, the Camp Scholarship Program has made scholarships available to children interested in learning about the animal world, but who could not otherwise attend due to financial limitations.

To apply for a Summer Camp Scholarship:

Scholarship applications MUST be fully completed at the time of submission to be considered. The application due date is April 15, 2024.

Complete the online Camp Scholarship Application (preferred):

AND for each child:

• Ask a community leader to complete a Recommendation Form

• Complete a Child Essay Form

Camp Inclusion Needs

We welcome all campers and can discuss any unique circumstances prior
to your camp session in order to assess how to best support your needs.

Thanks to generous gifts from donors such as Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, Society for Information Management, the Nancy Galvin Education Scholarship Fund, the Kwame Family Foundation, and Joyce and Michael Bytnar, the Saint Louis Zoo is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for our educational summer camp programs. These donors provide financial assistance for under-resourced students to attend one week of camp: Camp Joey, Camp KangaZoo, Teen Camp or Specialty Camp.
