Collaboration of Zoos and Aquariums Launch First National Database of Animal Diagnostic Images to Advance Veterinary Medicine in Zoological Institutions

The “Zoo and Aquarium Radiology Database” Aims to Break Boundaries of Understanding the Unique Anatomy of Species from Rhinos to Dolphins

Seven zoos and aquariums, including the Saint Louis Zoo, partnered together to create a digital database for aspiring zoo and aquarium veterinarians and radiologists that help provide the best medical support for animals in their respective institutions. The "Zoo and Aquarium Radiology Database" (ZARD) will host thousands of images of healthy animals that serve as reference material for those professionals.
