Kathy Tisone joined the Zoo in 2024 as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the finance and procurement operations of the Saint Louis Zoo. She also works closely with the governance of the Saint Louis Zoo, including the Audit, Investment and Finance committees.

Before this role, Tisone was CFO and Vice President of Operations for St. Louis Arc, Inc., a nonprofit serving over 4,500 people with development disabilities in the St. Louis region.

Tisone grew up in the north St. Louis County community of Ferguson. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-Columbia and started her career at Citicorp Mortgage, Reinsurance Group of America and accounting firm Schmersahl, Treloar & Company, where she earned her CPA.
