Mary Ann Lee Remembered

Our community was saddened by the passing of Mary Ann McCarthy Taylor Lee on April 17, 2017. Mary Ann was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family brought Mary Ann much joy and she shared her love of St. Louis, Forest Park, and the Saint Louis Zoo with them. Her many good deeds and generosity, plus her care and compassion for others, were widely known.

At the Zoo, she will always be remembered in the hearts and minds of St. Louisans for the Mary Ann Lee Conservation Carousel. The young and the young at heart have enjoyed a whirl on this beautiful feature of our Zoo. Seeing children enjoy the Zoo and in particular the Carousel always provided Mary Ann with immense joy.
