Something big is here!
The mighty Komodo dragon can now be seen at the Saint Louis Zoo! The Komodo dragon is the largest lizard species in the world, and our new male, Charlie, is now in a custom-built habitat in Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium, which is free to access during regular Zoo hours. Come see him soon!
Meet Charlie!
Charlie the Komodo dragon came to the Zoo from the Bronx Zoo in New York. He is 6 years old and is over 6 feet long. He may eventually grow up to weigh over 300 pounds!
