Saint Louis Zoo Matching Gift Companies
Matching gift companies provide a way to increase your support of the Saint Louis Zoo. Effective 2026, eligibility for matching gifts has changed.
If you work for a company with a matching gift program, you may be able to enhance your donation to the Zoo. At the $1,200 Benefactor level, $700 of that amount may be considered a charitable donation and may be eligible for matching gifts. That’s because the value of membership benefits at the Benefactor level totals $500 and therefore is not tax deductible.
The Explorer, Navigator, Protector and Champion levels (or any portion of the cost of these levels) must be paid in full at the time of purchase and are not eligible for matching gifts because the value of the benefits is higher than the cost of the membership. You may obtain matching gift information from your employer’s human resources department.
