No. There will be no fees for guests to convert cash to a pre-paid card.

The kiosks will not require any personal information to load cash onto a pre-paid card.

Yes. The card will be usable anywhere Mastercard debit is accepted for any type of transaction.

The pre-paid cards will not be reloadable.

No, but the card can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted if all funds are not used during your Zoo visit.

• Visit the ReadyCARD® Prepaid Mastercard® website.

The machines only accept cash with bill denominations of $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100.

The kiosks offer options for English and Spanish.

No. Guests will not need a mobile device to get a pre-paid card.

• All locations will become cashless in June 2026.
• While we transition to cashless operations, the following locations currently accept cash: 
  • Retail: Treetop Shop, Safari Shop, Penguin & Puffin Provisions, Candy Crossing, North Rentals, South Rentals
  • Food and Beverage: Lakeside Cafe, Cafe Kudu, East Concession Stand, River Camp Cafe, Tundra Treats, Starbucks
  • Other: North Welcome Desk, South Welcome Desk

Select vending machines are currently accepting cash. All vending machines will become cashless starting in June.

There are no ATMs at the Saint Louis Zoo. 

VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express credit cards and most debit cards are accepted. We also accept Apple Pay and Google Pay.
