Kirby Meyer
Kirby Meyer joined the Saint Louis Zoo in 2021 as the Director of Marketing and spent four years leading the institution’s advertising, events and membership strategies as well as paid storytelling and engagement efforts. She assumed the role of Chief Experience Officer in 2026 and now oversees the Zoo’s creative services, events, guest experience, marketing, membership, public relations, sales, data and audience research to elevate how local, national and global audiences experience the Zoo and understand conservation.
Prior to the Zoo, Meyer had an 11-year career at Panera Bread, where she tackled roles across advertising, digital communications, social media, integrated marketing, membership and more. She earned her Bachelor of Journalism degree and Master of Arts in Journalism degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia (Mizzou).
In addition to her responsibilities as Chief Experience Officer, Meyer sits on the Marketing Committees for Explore St. Louis and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
