Pajama Party at the Zoo

Family-friendly & FREE (no ticket purchase required)
Snuggle up in your pj’s* and head to the Zoo for a fun-filled evening the whole family will love! During this FREE, after-hours event, you’ll stroll through your favorite animal exhibits as they come to life with special storybook readings.
Cap off the night at Sea Lion Sound, where a special “Zootime” story awaits—plus milk and cookies available for purchase (while supplies last!).
*Please dress appropriately.

What's in Store
Get ready for a starry night of stories, snacks and animal fun! The Zoo opens at 9 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m. for this event.
- 4 p.m. – Free parking begins on Zoo lots.
- 5 p.m. – Storytime sessions begin at habitats across the Zoo.
- 5-8 p.m. – Zoo grounds and exhibits remain open for event attendees.
- 7 p.m. – River's Edge, Red Rocks, Bird House, Bird Garden, Primate Canopy Trails, Primate House and Jungle of the Apes close
- 7:30 p.m. – Herpetarium, Insectarium, and Penguin & Puffin Coast close; last entry to Stingrays at Caribbean Cove and Zooline Railroad
- 7:40 p.m. – Enjoy one final story at Sea Lion Sound with milk and cookies (available for purchase, while supplies last).

Visit these storytime locations anytime within the scheduled timeframe. We'll read the books several times, and educational interpreters will make these stories extra animated! Most featured storybooks will be available for purchase at the Zoo’s gift shops.
5-6 p.m.
