Andrew Marti
Andrew Marti joined the Zoo in 2017 and serves as the Director of Facilities Management.
The Facilities Management Division is responsible for the maintenance, repair, in-house construction, cleanliness and horticultural care of the campus. Marti oversees the daily operations of the Zoo’s Carpentry, Electrical, Fleet, Grounds, Horticulture, Housekeeping, HVAC/R, Metals, Painting, Plumbing and Special Construction departments.
He began his professional zoo career in 2010 at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium where he held multiple positions before making the move to St. Louis. Marti received his Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
He has been an active member in the Aquarium & Zoo Facilities Association (AZFA) since 2013 and previously served as the Conservation Chairperson and Treasurer on the AZFA board.
