Open until 8 p.m. on Fridays for Dinoroarus and Jungle Boogie

The Zoo will close at 5 p.m. on June 20 for A Zoo Ado and on July 23 and August 27 for Jammin' at the Zoo.

New at the Zoo

Be sure to check out the Zoo's newest exhibits Awesome Amphibians and Dinoroarus.

Free Hour (8-9 a.m.)

The Children's Zoo, Conservation Carousel and Dinoroarus are free from 8-9 a.m. each day during summer. Admission charges apply after 9 a.m.

Jungle Boogie presented by U.S. Cellular®
Friday evenings (5-8 p.m.)

"Cha-cha" with the cheetahs, "salsa" with the sea lions or "two-step" with the tigers at Jungle Boogie, the Zoo's Friday Night concert series for the whole family. See sidebar for schedule. No concert on June 20 and July 4.

Animal Enrichment Activities
Saturday Evenings (5:00-5:30 p.m.)

Each week at various exhibits, visitors can watch as keepers offer Animal Enrichment items to the animals. Enrichment activities give Zoo animals interesting, stimulating ways to perform natural behaviors.

Keeper Chats

Look for Keeper Chats every day between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. throughout the Zoo.

Summer Showtime

Sea Lion Show

Sea lion superstars will thrill you with flipper walks, ball balancing and lots of splashing! Admission is $3 per person; children under two are free. Shows are at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. daily starting May 24, with an additional show at 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Children's Zoo Show

See a leaping squirrel, flying kestrel or a kissing cow showcase their natural talents. Shows are at 10 and 11 a.m., 1, 2 and 3 p.m. daily (except Wednesdays). Admission to the Children's Zoo is $4 per person; children under two are free.

Visitor Tip

Some of the animals are more active in the cooler hours of early morning and early evening. Occasionally, some animals may need to turn in early. Dinosaurs are always awake and ready for attention.
