Wildlife Wonders parties are designed for preschoolers with plenty of opportunities for discovery and imaginative play. Each party begins with 15 minutes of free choice play at a variety of themed activity areas. Next, the group will be engaged in a short interactive story or song, and will then have the chance to see, touch and learn about some of the live animals in our classroom. After a break to wash hands, it is time for cupcakes and candles. If gifts are part of your party, there will be an opportunity to open them, or the remainder of the party can be spend revisiting the activity areas.
Pet Protectors Party
The animals young children are most familiar with are the animals that share our homes. At this party, they can play at a variety of activity stations related to pet and farm animals.
Activities
Pet Owner Use real pet-care supplies to meet the needs of some plush pets.
Is This a Pet? Sort toy animals into house, farm or forest play sets.
Pet Puzzles Put together block puzzles or matching puzzles.
Pet Playthings Make a squeaker or catnip toy to take home for a pet dog or cat.
Animal Contact Several live animals make their home in the party area, including, guinea pigs, rabbit, dove, screech owl, hedgehog, newts, fish, millipede, and insects. Two or three of these animals will be brought out for your guests to see and touch. We cannot honor requests to contact specific animals, however we will honor any request to avoid contacting animals due to allergies, etc.
Backyard Explorers Party
Even the smallest backyards are filled with nature's wonders. At this party, children can play at a variety of activity stations related to backyard wildlife.
Activities
Nutty Squirrels Use squirrel puppets to gather and hide nuts, then find them again.
Butterfly Match Up Match the wing patterns of butterflies.
Bird nest Depot Make a nest helper, filled with nesting materials, to take home for the birds in your backyard.
Build a Bug Create different insects using the magnetic insect parts, or help put together a floor puzzle.
Feeder Fun Fill birdfeeders with birdseed and play with bird toys that make sounds.

There is more to the Zoo than meets the eye. At this party, children can play at a variety of activity stations related to Zoo animal care.

Build-a-Zoo Use toy Zoo parts and animals to construct the perfect Zoo.
Vets Help Use toy vet tools to care for plush animals.
Zoo Kitchen Prepare diets for the animals using play food.
Zoo Habitat Match Up Match animals to the appropriate Zoo habitat.
Discover Enrichment Explore some items that enrich Zoo animals' lives.

Cost
Wildlife Wonders package is $300 for up to 30 guests, $12 for each additional child guest and $5 for each additional adult guest. Each child 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult. There is a 1:4 adult to child ratio for children 4 and older. Maximum 40 people allowed. Zoo Friends members at the Family level or higher receive 10% discount.
This package is offered weekends at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.
