Join us on a new approach to one of our favorite African destinations! This unique safari is designed to provide you with a new, thrilling experience as you travel from one river to another, viewing the most extraordinary diversity of animals and plants on the continent.
The upper Zambezi basin is a special region within southern Africa. It includes western Zambia, Namibia (Caprivi Strip), and northern Botswana. The Zambezi River (the biggest in southern Africa) forms the huge drainage system that controls the future and fate of the other rivers and their ecosystems. The “Five Rivers” we will encounter are the Okavango, Linyanti, Kwando, Chobe and the mighty Zambezi. At Victoria Falls we will stay in Songwe Village, operated by local Africans who are eager for you to understand and enjoy their culture.
Escorted by Steve Bircher, Curator of Mammals/Carnivores.
