Snooze at the Zoo
Naturalist Badge
Webelos Scouts—here is your chance to earn your Naturalist Badge and sleep at the Zoo!
You will spend the night at the Zoo—a time when everyone else has gone home (except the animals). Scouts will earn their Naturalist badge as they rotate through exciting activities. Such activities include scouts and adult leaders experiencing Missouri wildlife first hand in our Live Animal encounter, becoming native wildlife toughing it out in a Missouri wetland, learning about food chains by studying the remarkable talents of the endangered burying beetles and much more!
The evening portion of overnight programs includes an evening pizza snack (with a soft drink), rotations through five exciting activities, our famous night hike and a flashlight tour of the Herpetarium. The morning portion of the overnight adventure includes a continental breakfast, a morning stroll around Zoo grounds to see the animals wake-up, a souvenir Zoo patch and glow-in-the-dark overnight cup!
