Conservation Tours
ENDANGERED SPECIES RESEARCH CENTER AND VETERINARY HOSPITAL
Grades 7-12 Tour length: 75 minutes Fee: $95 (ZMD $60) Offered September through May
During this docent-led tour, students will learn how our Zoo professionals use scientific processes and skills to responsibly manage captive populations. Applying the scientific method, students will have an opportunity to propose solutions to specific animal management problems. With the use of biofacts, tools, and a tour of the hospital, students will better understand the science involved in veterinary care and reproduction. Please Note: The Endangered Species Research Center and Veterinary Hospital is not open to the public. It is uncommon for groups to observe animals being treated at the time of the tour.
