CONSERVATION AT THE ZOO
Grades 9-College Program length: 90 minutes Fee: $95 (ZMD $70) Offered September through May
Animal species all across the globe are increasingly at risk of extinction, making it important to know about biodiversity and how to protect it. Using the Zoo’s resources, we will look at the 12 centers of the WildCare Institute, and how the Zoo is working to protect animal diversity on a global scale. The class will conclude with an inquiry-based activity in which students will choose and develop a model for a 13th center of the WildCare Institute.
