Camp KangaZoo, 1st - 6th Grades

Leap into the action this summer and be a Camp KangaZoo camper! Come year after year and learn something new each time! Campers are divided into age-specific groups for most activities, but do come together each day for an introduction, lunch and snack.

Once again campers can double their Camp fun. Choose Biodiversity Bonanza or Zoo Builders or register for BOTH!

In Biodiversity Bonanza, campers will learn how and why the earth has so many species, and why each one is important. They will learn about some particular biodiversity hotspots around the world, and will explore the diversity of animals that live in and around the Zoo.

In Zoo Builders, campers will explore the past, present and future in Zoo exhibits. They will learn what animals need to survive and thrive and how the Zoo meets those needs through the design of animals' exhibits, and the care that animals receive. Campers will use their knowledge and experience to help design and build a model Zoo of the future!

AT BOTH CAMPS you will:
• Learn all about animals and the Zoo
• Explore animal habits and habitats
• Experience classroom animals through hands-on contact
• Find out how you can help to conserve animals
• Examine skins, skulls and feathers
• Sing favorite Zoo tunes
• Make crafts to take home
• Learn new games and perform animal skits
• Attend the Sea Lion Show and ride the Zooline Railroad
• Tiptoe around the Zoo at night
• Sleep at the Zoo and wake up with the birds

Camp KangaZoo t-shirt, group photo, snacks, Thursday pizza dinner and Friday morning breakfast included!

Limited to 72 or 90 campers per session.
Fee: ZFA Members $195/General Public $215
Instructors: Seasonal Instructors, Zoo Staff and Zoo ALIVE volunteers
