Camp KangaZoo

Leap into the action, and be a Camp KangaZoo camper next summer! Camp KangaZoo takes place right among the animals on Zoo grounds and has new things to offer each year. With added space in a brand new facility, campers can choose to attend one or two week-long sessions throughout the summer:

  • Animal in Action Camp
  • Animal Clues and Codes Camp

Camp KangaZoo is more than just a day camp, it is an educational program with activities and experiences to appeal to many different learning styles. Campers learn through a combination of indoor and outdoor activities, including active games, classroom activities, live animal contact opportunities, guided tours around the Zoo, crafts, music, drama and more. The campers are placed into groups based on their age, and our camp instructors are experts at making sure that all activities are age appropriate and fun. Camp KangaZoo is for children entering 1st - 6th grade.

Each Camp session occurs Monday - Thursday during the day and overnight Thursday until Friday morning. Camp KangaZoo t-shirt, group photo, snacks, Thursday pizza dinner and Friday morning breakfast are included. Please click the Camp KangaZoo, 1st - 6th Grades link at the top of this page for dates, times and registration information.

Camp Joey

New this year! Children who are at least 4 years old and who have not yet completed Kindergarten can hop "out of the pouch" and into the Zoo at Camp Joey! With a ratio of 8 staff per 18 children, you can be assured that your child will get individual attention and be well supervised.

Each Camp session includes a Camp Joey t-shirt, group photo and daily snack. Camp Joey occurs Monday - Thursday, with morning or afternoon sessions available. Please click the Camp Joey link at the top of this page for dates, times and registration information.
