In this program, students discover the answer to this riddle and develop the skills to classify the major groups of vertebrate animals based on their characteristics.

INSECT INVESTIGATIONS

Are all creepy-crawlies alike? Some people think bugs are all the same. Through observations and activities, students learn the basic characteristics of insects as well as their importance.

HOW ANIMALS MOVE

Program length: 45 minutes
Offered year-round
How many ways can animals move? Using live animals and experiments, we will explore how animals run, swim, and fly. A post-visit activity is included which encourages students to label animal pictures with action words to describe movement.
