Now you see it ... now you don't. Even up close it is almost impossible to spot this gecko in its natural habitat. Mottled colors, a leaf-shaped tail, and the fringe of scales along its sides and legs provide perfect camouflage against bark and leaves. This nocturnal (active at night) species benefits from having large eyes and vertical pupils as it goes on its nightly search for insects.
